Free School Meals (FSM)
Universal Free School Meals (UFSM)
From September 2023, all primary school aged children will receive Free School Meals for a year. Please see letter below from Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
However, this will not entitle you to the food vouchers given to parents during school holidays. Therefore, we are asking that you still apply for Free School Meals as this will also provide the school with extra funding.
How to apply for Free School Meals (FSM)
If you or your partner are unemployed or work part time, you could be entitled to Free School Meals. You must apply by completing an online application form. You will only need to apply once, and Hackney Education will check your entitlement against information held by the Department for Education (DfE) on a regular basis so you don’t have to renew your application every year, or provide proof of your entitlement.
